Und dieses neue „DONEGAL INTERNATIONAL FOLK AND ROOTS FESTIVAL möchten wir Euch empfehlen!

Friday 10th – Monday 13th July
Location: Letterkenny, Donegal
Weekend Ticket: 110 Euro

At the heart of Ireland’s undiscovered and magical county of Donegal, rooted
in true musical tradition, the Earagail Arts Festival welcomes you to the inaugural
Donegal International Folk & Roots Festival – a celebration of folk, roots and
traditional music from around the world, presented on the North West Atlantic
coast of Ireland. Featuring over 20 different concerts, masterclasses and traditional Irish music seisúns from Friday 10th until Monday 13th July 2015, this new weekend of music throughout the market town of Letterkenny includes 2 unique Irish premieres. Taking to the stage of the Clanree Hotel on Saturday 11th July, a true legend of Celtic music, Clannad’s lead vocalist Moya Brennan presents a gala celebration of female voices from Donegal and further afield. Accompanied by the three part harmonies of The Henry Girls, the choral presence of the Inishowen Gospel Choir, rising singer/songwriters Ashling Jarvis, Leila Keeney and Sarah Cullen this unique concert will feature our very special guest, the Soul of Morocco, Sahrawi singer Oum. On the following evening, traditional superstars Altan will be joined by fivetime Grammy Award winner and Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, American singer-songwriter Mary Chapin Carpenter, with support from local artists Clann Mac Ruaraidh and the recently signed Eve Belle.
